9 Unhealthy Foods We're Eating Every Day

The foods we eat everyday play a major role in our health. From the drops of cream added to your coffee to the amount of oil in the pan, these foods are some of the unhealthiest choices that we're eating every day. 

1. Coffee Creamers: If you're eating the ones that don't need to be refrigerated are full of artificial ingredients and preservatives to reach a shelf-life of 100 years. Stay away from these and try other healthier options like skim milk and almond milk.

2. Margarine: Can't believe it's not butter? That's because it's not, not even a tiny bit. Margarine contains a great amount of trans fat which is essential artificial fat. These increase your cholesterol and risk for heart disease. 

3. Bacon: Yes, we know, you love bacon. Don't we all, but eating it every day is never going to be good for your health. It's incredibly high in sodium and increases your risk for heart disease as well. Try turkey bacon instead which is much leaner.

4. Artificial Sweeteners: A lot of research has been published this year around the harmful effects of artificial sweeteners. They're zero calorie but high in additives and artificial ingredients to which we don't know the long-term effects of. 

5. Soda: Soda makes us gain weight, there is no question. Artificial sweeteners are largely the reason. There are many preservatives in diet soda and regular soda is full of sugars. 

6. Whole Milk: Many people still drink whole milk because of its high vitamin D content but there are many very fattening and can cause clogged arteries. 

7. White bread: Full of refined ingredients, white bread and white sugar for that matter are never going to be a good choice. Whole grains and oats are the better option always. 

8. Say goodbye to Pop Tarts: This is one of those food items that has absolutely no nutritional quality and basically has been completely engineered to make us more hungry after eating them. Stay far away.

9. Microwave Popcorn: Yes, popcorn is a healthier and lighter snack option than many others however watch your toppings. Adding tablespoons of butter negates any healthy option. Also much research has shown that the lining of the microwavable lining of the bag contains carcinogens that have been linked to liver and prostate cancer.
