Artificial sweeteners linked to weight gain, heart disease, negligible health benefits

The use of artificial sweeteners has been put under the microscope questioning their effectiveness in regards to curbing weight gain.  This is in response to a new review of more than 11,000 studies finding that for individual who are overweight or have high blood pressure or diabetes, consuming these zero-calorie, “non-nutritive sweeteners” have little to any health benefits.
