Tips to improve your immune system

Tips to improve your immune system

Relax more.

Research shows that more stress can weaken your immune system.  Try to avoid stress when you can. Make it a priority to find ways to relax and more things you enjoy.

Have more sex.

Sex is not only pleasurable, but it is good for your health too. Research shows a link between having sex and health in people who are middle-aged and older. Research finds that those who have sex often are in better health than others.

Be more optimistic.

Staying positive can keep your immune system healthy. Research shows that those who are more optimistic have a stronger immune system. To boost your optimism, take time to do more things you enjoy doing. Avoid negative thoughts.

Laugh more.

Laughing is beneficial to your health and can help boost your immune system. Research has found that who laugh more have higher functioning immune systems.

Eat more antioxidants.

Eating more antioxidants such as fruits and vegetables will give you nutrients that can protect against things that harm cells. Eat a wide variety of foods such as green peppers, broccoli, strawberries, carrots, watermelon, papaya, and leafy greens.

Try herbs and supplements.
Some research shows that herbs and supplements can help boost your immune system. However, more studies are needed to confirm their health benefits.

Stay physically active.

Physical exercise is a great way to boost your immune system. Exercise also reduces stress and the risk of developing osteoporosis, heart disease, and some types of cancer. Exercise is most beneficial at a moderate level on most days of the week.

Get a good amount of sleep.

Getting proper sleep helps boost your immune system and helps fight off illness. Most adults need about 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Make sure you go to bed at a regular time. Also, avoid caffeine and alcohol after dinner.
